The Umbrella, Briefcase and Bowler Hat Page!
The Bowler Hat Gallery
The Bowler Hat Gallery started sometime during the last
year of my GCSE's (circa 1998), when I was pretty darn bored. It
had a humble beginning, in the form of 'Bowler Hat (version 1.0)'. This had built-in redundancy, ensuring that the
market would not reach saturation, and also that wearers would
have to buy the 'Bowler
Hat (version 1.1) patch'. The next
(more polished) version followed quite closely after, in order to
prevent competition from Fedora hats and other anti-conservative influences - this was the revolutionary 'Bowler Hat '98 (with free
browser)'.
The Bowler Hat - Satanic Edition was the first 'official' Hat-top Theme. Wearers of '98 could customise their Hat-tops to their own specification (versions 1.0 and 1.1 were inadequate for this - any tampering would cause a seam failure). This was the first in what is hoped to be a varied and original range of Hat-top themes.
Bowler Hats are worn by all the rich and famous, including Lara Croft!
George Lucas is obviously a big fan of the Bowler Hat. He wanted to have all his characters wearing Bowler Hat '98 for his new 'Episode One' film. In fact, he even added in CGI bowler hats to the old trilogy for the re-release. However, I didn't want my product to be tainted by association with films which, though enjoyable, are not in the spirit of the Bowler Hat conservative philosophy. George was forced to show the re-releases sans Bowler Hats, and even had to re-film the whole of 'The Phantom Menace' to exclude all Bowler Hats. The Bowler Hat versions of the Star Wars films are now very hard to come by, and are therefore worth millions of dollars. There are also, reportedly, several Star Wars toy figures, modelling Bowler Hats. Rumour has it that they were all bought by Margaret Thatcher, another Bowler Hat devotee. More information and picture can be found in my 'Star Wars - Bowler Hat Edition' section.
